Keep yourself on track
February 6, 2007
Tracks is a web-based “Getting Things Done” application written in RubyOnRails – and it’s Open Source
Basicly you can add an manage contexts, projects and next actions aka todo-list items. It’s more or less a smaller version of 37signals backpackit, just for free and without the other stuff like calendar, pages, reminders and writeboards that backpackit offers.
For those of you, that don’t want to have their todo-lists and stuff on a providers webserver (like http://backpackit.com), you can host it yourself. For the others, you can use a host like http://tracks.tra.in for free.
If you don’t need the shiny look of the 37signals solutions and/or want to host yourself, it’s well worth a look. Oh, and I almost forgot, you can also subscribe to your tasks from iCal.
